The Resume

    (circa 2002-August 7, 2015)
    Born in Florida
Portrayed Jack the Dog in the 2011 film 'The Artist'
He was a Jack Russell terrier

Why he might be annoying:

His name sounded like a name for sheepskin-based footwear.
He was rejected by his first two owners as being too wild.
He got his start in commercials.
He had his own Twitter account.
In his first film 'Water for Elephants (2011),' he played a dog named Queenie.

Why he might not be annoying:

Just as he was about to be sent to a dog pound, he was adopted by animal trainer Omar Von Muller.
Von Muller said of Uggie, 'He was a crazy, very energetic puppy, And who knows what would have happened to him if he gone to the dog pound. But he was very smart and very willing to work.'
Unlike other dog actors, he was not afraid of lights or sounds.
He was a scene stealer in the critically acclaimed film 'The Artist.'
He appeared opposite another Jack Russell Terrier named Cosmo from Mike Mills' film 'Beginners' in a photoshoot spread for 'The Hollywood Reporter.'
He won the Palm Dog Award for best performance by a canine at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
There was even a viral Facebook campaign to consider Uggie for an 'honorary' Oscar award.
