    She wrote her autobiography that turned into a movie hit, 'Coal Miner's Daughter (1980),' also composing the music for it.
    She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame (1988).
    Her twin daughters, Peggy and Patsy Lynn, are actresses.
    Crystal Gayle is her sister.
    When she moved to Nashville, she put all of her kids in school and raised them while pursuing her career.
    She is related to Patty Loveless.
    Her husband's death devastated her so much that she thought only two months had passed and it had been an entire year.
    Her husband was very supportive and encouraging of her work, often pushing her when she wasn't giving it her all.
    She lost three kids before having twins.
    Although born and raised dirt poor, she did something with her life to change all of that.
    She says that she's just now learning what it's like to live without struggle.
