The Resume

    (January 17, 1911-June 25, 1966)
    Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Birth name was Ralph Harvey Jackson
Forward/Defenseman for the Toronto Maple Leafs (1929-39), New York Americans (1939-41) and the Boston Bruins (1941-44)
Hockey Hall of Fame inductee (1971)
Inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame (1975)

Why he might be annoying:

He earned the nickname 'Busher', as he was mistaken as being the team's stick boy.
He lived a playboy lifestyle, which was unheard of in hockey at the time.
He ignored Maple Leafs owner Conn Smythe's advice to put aside his money for his future, instead blowing it on luxury items and hosting lavish parties instead.
His ignorance with money cost him two marriages, and left him broke and penniless near the end of his life.
He was that broke, he resorted to selling the players broken hockey sticks outside Maple Leaf Gardens to earn money.
His well-documented struggles with alcohol and finances led him to be considered one of hockey's tragic figures.
His off-ice personal drama overshadowed his on-ice accolades, prompting Conn Smythe to refuse his nomination into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was recruited to join the Maple Leafs by Frank J. Selke, who saw him play at the city's iconic 'Poverty Pond.'
He excelled as an attacking forward, who was known to have a powerful backhand shot.
He, along with Charlie Conacher and Joe Primeau formed the Maple Leafs famed 'Kid Line' during the 1930's.
He was a member of the Maple Leafs Stanley Cup championship team (1932).
He had the opportunity to play alongside his brother Art in Boston, when he was acquired by the Bruins.
He was posthumously inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, in a move that prompted Smythe to resign his post as Hockey Hall of Fame voting chairman.
