Football Player

The Resume

    (August 14, 1990- )
    Born in Newton, Massachusetts
    Birth name was Kristian Alonso
    NFL linebacker
Played college football for the University of Oregon (Oregon Ducks)
Played for Buffalo Bills (2013–2014) and Philadelphia Eagles (2015)
Signed by the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a first round Draft pick (March 9, 2016)

Why he might be annoying:

He was suspended for the entire 2010 season after a DUI arrest.
He was given a second chance to play for the Ducks, but soon after was again arrested on burglary and trespassing charges (May 2011).
The 2011 charges stemmed from an incident in which he forced entry into a female victim's home after she denied him entry (he was reportedly drunk).
He received two years of probation, and was ordered to undergo 200 hours of community service and alcohol treatment therapy (to many it signaled the end of his football career, but Chip Kelly would give him yet another chance to play for Oregon).
He admitted to deliberately 'trying to hit' Colin Kaepernick during a closing interception at a Dolphins-49ers game, citing 'bad blood' over out-of-context remarks he made regarding Fidel Castro (Nov. 28, 2016).
His hit on Kaepernick with Ndamukong Suh was applauded by Miami Dolphins fans who were fresh off of celebrating the death of Castro and who booed Kaepernick when he entered the stadium.
He was fined $9,115 for an illegal hit on Joe Flacco which sent him into concussion protocol (Nov. 1, 2017).

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the son of a Cuban father and a Colombian mother.
His father was exiled to Puerto Rico during the Cuban Revolution.
He reportedly texted Joe Flacco to apologize for the illegal hit.
He was third in the NFL in Tackles during his rookie season with the Buffalo Bills (2013).
The Pro Football Writers of America named him Defensive Rookie of the Year (2014).
He missed out on most of the 2014 season due to an ACL tear.
He told reporters that his hit on Kaepernick was done with his family experiences in mind: 'I do have feelings about it ... He's ignorant.'
