Why he might be annoying:

He was initially drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals, but refused to sign with them.
He and wife walked down the aisle to 'Take Me Out To The Ballgame' at their wedding.
Despite spending the majority of the 2009 season with the Yankees, he missed out on being eligible for a World Series ring.
He said in regards to his wedding, 'I was thinking, what's more nerve-racking, pitching in the big leagues for the first time or getting married? It's a different emotion. I don't cry too much, but it was emotional.'
He was suspended ten games for intentionally beaning two Dodgers, which started a bench clearing brawl (2013).

He was traded to the Diamondbacks as part of the trade that sent Max Scherzer to the Tigers.
He won 21 games during his second full season with the Diamondbacks.
He was the first Padre pitcher since Jake Peavy to record 200 strikeouts in a season (2014).
He is married to former USC basketball star Allison Jaskowiak.
He ranks among the top five leaders at the USC baseball program in strikeouts.
