Why he might be annoying:

He became heir to the throne because his brother died.
He was frivolous and wimpy.
He didn't care about government, business or warfare.
Although gay, he married a woman.
He took his wife's wedding jewelry and gave it to his boyfriend.
When the boyfriend was murdered, he didn't even take revenge.
Although English, he was declared Prince of Wales, which pissed off the Welsh.
He was forced to resign the crown due to his incompetence.
Mel Gibson mocked him in 'Braveheart.'
His terrible leadership led to the (brief) independence of Scotland.

Why he might not be annoying:

He never wanted to be king.
His father once pulled out his hair to punish him.
He was an accomplished athlete.
After losing the crown, he was imprisoned and neglected, in the hopes that he would just get sick and die.
When he didn't, he was killed with a red-hot poker shoved up the rectum.
The public was told he died of natural causes.
Christopher Marlowe wrote a good play about him.
