Why Ashland, Oregon might be annoying
The Donation Land Act resulted into violent conflicts between the white settlers and the native people in the 1850s.
A mineral spa was originally planned to be at Lithia Park, but plans for it were abandoned (1916).

Some people from nearby northern California like to come here to shop.
It is the starting location of the Bear Creek Greenway for biking and hiking.
Skiing is abundant at nearby Mount Ashland.
