    Punter for the Miami Dolphins (1983-92), Washington Redskins (1993-94), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1995), Houston/Tennessee Oilers (1996-97) and the San Francisco 49ers (1998)

Why he might be annoying:

    He became a journeyman player after his release from the Dolphins.
    He made poor financial decisions, which led him to file for bankruptcy.
    He was divorced.
    His cause of death was never publicly stated, but there was speculation he was taking steroids.
    Despite being one of the league's best punters, he received little recognition for his efforts.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was one of a select few African-American players in NFL history to play a special teams position.
    He holds the Dolphins team record for longest punting average in a single game (58.5 yards).
    He was considered a pioneer in the two step approach for modern day punters.
    He was initially a quarterback before being converted to a special teams player at the University of Iowa.
    He helped coordinate the Backfield in Motion program, which integrated athletics and academics for inner city children.
