The Resume

    (May 6, 1987- )
    Born in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania
    Rapper
Birth name is Robert Rihmeek Williams
Signed with the Miami-based label Maybach Music Group (Feb. 2011)
Albums include 'Dreams and Nightmares' (2012) and 'Dreams Worth More than Money' (2015)
Singles include 'Tupac Back,' 'Ima Boss,' 'Young and Getting It,' 'Levels,' 'House Party,' 'Burn,' and 'Amen'
    Mixtapes include 'Dreamchasers' (2011), 'Dreamchasers 2' (2012), and 'Dreamchasers 3' (2013)
Announced the launching of his own imprint, Dream Chasers Records, named after his popular mixtape series (Oct. 2012)
Came to national attention after publicly criticizing Drake on Twitter, accusing him of relying on a ghost writer for his songs (Jul. 2015)

Why he might be annoying:

He lists his favorite celebrity as 'myself.'
He has carried an ongoing beef with Cassidy.
He has a long history of parole term violation.
He rides the coattails of on-and-off again girlfriend Nicki Minaj.
He blew his first record deal when he was sentenced to seven months in prison for drug dealing and posession (2008).
He had previously been arrested at the age of 18 for assaulting police officers and for illegal possession of a firearm.
Due to his constant legal troubles, it took him over five years to release his debut album.
His 'Amen' track caused such a stir within the churchgoing community that at least one pastor called on all hip-hop fans to boycott the album until an apology was issued (2012).
His 'Dreams' album sold only 350,000 copies despite Minaj's using her massive celebrity fan base to help plug it.
He instigated a feud with Drake to boost the sales of his album, openly complaining about how the rapper didn't publicize his album on social media.
He was subsequently pummeled with back-to-back 'diss tracks' from Drake, 'Charged Up' and 'Back to Back,' after putting out the rumor that Drake didn't write his own songs.
He took an inordinate amount of time to respond with his own diss track, 'Wanna Know,' which was universally panned and widely parodied on social media.
The Drake beef got him into such hot water that even Nicki Minaj was allegedly upset with him, to the point where he took the time during a concert to deliver a 'special apology' to her on stage, backtracking on his previous comments (Jul. 23, 2015).
On top of decisively losing to Drake, he was sued by WWE wrestler, The Undertaker, for sampling a portion of his trademark 'graveyard symphony,' without permission in the diss track (Aug. 2015).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is into dirt biking.
He was first discovered by T.I.
His style was heavily influenced by Notorious B.I.G.
His lost his father at the age of five, when he was shot during an (alleged) attempted robbery.
He grew up in poverty with a mother who was a serial shoplifter.
He experienced police brutality at the age of 18.
His 'Young & Gettin' It' single debuted at #2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 (2012).
He performed 'Dreams and Nightmares' on stage with Nas at Summer Jam 2014.
His uncle and mentor was Grandmaster Nell, who also influenced Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
He went public with his beef with Drake where many in the industry looked the other way and kept quiet about their issues with him.
By attacking Drake and giving him the chance to defend himself, he inadvertently won him a new respect from the industry, including vocal cynics like Charlamagne Tha God.
The American Psychological Association used 'Traumatized' and 'Dreams and Nightmares' in sessions with troubled kids as a way to get them to open up (the former of which he imagines confronting the man who killed his father).
