    She was initially unaware of the significance of Willie O'Ree in hockey.
    Similar to actress Blake Lively, she has a masculine first name.
    She was among a select handful of women's hockey stars to start the PWHPA.
    She was the opposite of a typical girl growing up, as she wanted to be playing sports, rather then with dolls.

    She's attractive for a female hockey star.
    She says that some of her favorite things are looking at something that seems out of reach and being able to achieve it altogether.
    She's the first African-American female scout in NHL history.
    She's a fan of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his motivational speeches.
    Despite being initially unfamiliar with Willie O'Ree, she was mentored by him, and he is credited with influencing her on-ice style.
    She won both the Clarkson Cup (2015) and Isobel Cup (2016) championships with both Boston teams.
    She broke barriers for women who participate in a sport, which was historically dominated by men, and still be feminine.
