He got his break in show business because of his famous parents, George C. Scott and Colleen Dewhurst (nepotism).
He is typecast as soft-spoken and/or boring characters.
One critic called him ‘one of the flattest actors ever.’
His mainstream acting career fizzled after its initial success.
He mainly works in quirky little indies that nobody sees.
Even for an indie, his version of ‘Hamlet’ was not as successful as the Ethan Hawke version from the same year.
