The Resume

    (September 15, 1957- )
    Born in Brooklyn, New York
    Middle name is Ray
Linebacker for the Chicago Bears (1980-87) and Los Angeles Raiders (1989)
    Attended the University of Louisville
Wrote 'If These Walls Could Talk: Stories from the Chicago Bears'

Why he might be annoying:

He feuded with coach Mike Ditka and nearly got into a fistfight in his office over his preference for Ron Rivera.
In his later years, he would stop just short of calling Ditka a racist when asked (saying in one interview: 'I always thought he was more giving to the Caucasians ... from my opinion I thought he had a problem dealing with a black man.')
    He attempted an acting career.
His pro career faded after the 1987 season, largely due to a knee injury, a players strike, and his beef with Ditka (he spent one undistinguished year with the Raiders before retiring).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was good friends with Walter Payton.
He was an invaluable part of the '85 Bears' legendary defense.
He was a featured soloist of the 'Shuffling Crew' in the Bears' The Super Bowl Shuffle video (1985).
He underwent stem cell surgery to treat his chronic knee problems.
Given Ditka's later history of problematic statements, it seems fair to say Wilson wasn't entirely out of pocket.
He runs a nonprofit organization that provides an all-inclusive health and fitness program for at risk youth.
His son, Quincy Wilson, had a career as a running back for the Cincinnati Bengals.
He joined other members of the '85 Bears Shuffling Crew to resurrect the Super Bowl Shuffle for a Boost Mobile commercial (2010).
