    Defenseman/Forward for the Minnesota Wild (2003-11) and the San Jose Sharks

Why he might be annoying:

    He is better known for his menagerie of animals in his home than for his hockey performances.
    He has the Wild's team logo tattooed on his back.
    He is prone to concussions.
    He puts blonde streaks his hair.
    Despite being drafted as a forward, he was converted into a defenseman at the NHL level by his coach, Jacques Lemaire.

Why he might not be annoying:

    His two-way play in junior earned him Most Improved Player award honors.
    Despite playing most of his Wild career as a defenseman, he occasionally played forward during Lemaire's last season with the team.
    His defensive play earned him an invite to Team Canada's Men' Olympic hockey team invitational training camp (2009).
    He purchased a luxury box for military personnel and their families to attend Wild home games.
