Why he might be annoying:

He changed the team name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2005).
He drew a lot of criticism from Anaheim residents for changing the team name from the Anaheim Angels to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
His reason was to shed the small market label which is placed on the Angels franchise.
He spent a lot of money to bring pitchers Bartolo Colon and Kelvim Escobar to the Angels.
He looks like wrestler Eddie Guerrero.
He basically dismantled most of the club that won the 2002 World Series upon taking over the team.
His first move upon buying the franchise was eliminating 'Anaheim' from the away jersey and replacing it with 'Angels.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He lowered ticket prices to make Angels games affordable to families.
He purchased the Angels from Disney for $180 million.
Overall, his team won nine League Championships and six World Series.
He served in the U.S. Army for three years.
He eliminated the stadium endorsement with Edison International.
He is the first Hispanic owner of a professional sports franchise in any league.
His investment in signing Vladimir Guerrero was worth the $70 million over 5 years.
