Why he might be annoying:

His movies tend to follow the action formula of chases and things blowing up.
He produces American war propaganda films reminiscent of Nazi Germany. His film, 'Profiles from the Front Line,' concerning US soldiers in Afghanistan, was with full co-operation of the U.S. military.
CBS news anchor, Dan Rather, said of it: 'I'm outraged by the Hollywoodisation of the military. The Pentagon would rather make troops available as props in gung-ho videos than explain how the commanders let Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida leaders escape or target the wrong villages.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He said of the movie business: 'We are in the transport business. We transport audiences from one place to another.'

His University of Arizona roommate, Don Simpson, became his film partner forming Simpson-Bruckheimer productions (1983). They formed Hollywood Productions for Disney.
Don Simpson's drug addiction lead to the break up of their company and Simpson's eventual death (January 1996).
    He is a patriotic America.
He tends to go with stories where the heroes eventually triumph.
He left a high paying advertising job to become a film maker.
