The Resume

    (August 25, 1973- )
    Born in Moscow, Russia
With Larry Page, founded Google (1998)
    Net worth (2022): $92.9 billion

Why he might be annoying:

MIT turned him down for graduate school.
Despite the large number of smartphones using Google Android, he complained that smartphones are 'emasculating': 'You're standing around and just rubbing this featureless piece of glass.'
'The Uncensored History of Silicon Valley' called him 'Google's playboy,' noting that he had been caught more than once with employees in the company massage room.
One of his affairs, with marketing director Amanda Rosenberg, broke up his first marriage.

Why he might not be annoying:

He emigrated from the Soviet Union with his family when he was six.
He completed high school in three years while earning enough advanced credits to finish college in three years as well.
He and Page received the Marconi Foundation Prize, considered one of the highest awards in engineering (2004).
As part of a philosophy 'to solve really big problems using technology,' he has invested heavily in renewable energy.
He has donated $150 million to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. (Not entirely altruistic, since he was found to have a gene linked to developing Parkinson's disease.)
