He got into a fist-fight with Frank Sinatra.
He got into a fight with Dusty Baker... yep, the singer.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is considered the greatest drummer that ever lived.
He was the second highest paid child star after Jackie Coogan.
He was the highest paid sideman with Harry James.
He would do a 30 minute drum solo with no problem.
He started drumming at 18 months of age.
He ripped on Ginger Baker because Ginger Baker was bragging and Buddy challenged him to play one set with his band... Ginger didn't show up.
He played on the same style drum-kit his whole life.
He was one of the fastest drummers, ever.
He was a technically expert drummer.
