Her relationship with Mitt, and his father George, influenced her decision to convert to the LDS church when she was 18 years old.
She left her studies at Brigham Young University shortly after the birth of her first child.
She named her first born son Taggart (Tag for short).
In 2002, she claimed she'd never had a 'real argument' with her husband.
As First Lady of Massachusetts, her husband appointed her as the Governor's Liaison to the White House Office of Faith Based Initiatives.
Why she might not be annoying
She started dating Mitt during her sophomore year of high school, and married him in 1969.
She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (1997).
As part of her recovery from MS, she turned to horseback riding and became an award winning equestrian.
She had a breast cancer scare in 2008 which required the removal of a precancerous lump from her breast.
She received the Operation Kids Lifetime Achievement Award for her extensive work with various children's charities (2006).
