He appeared on the unpopular reality show ‘Rock Star: INXS.’
When INXS asked him to tone down his ‘screaming’ vocal style, he did exactly the opposite.
He often performed with bare feet.
He occasionally used a fake British accent for his songs.
He said he’d never heard of '60's funk' before.
He paints his fingernails and toenails.
He works in real estate.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was one of the most consistently strong performers on ‘Rock Star: INXS.’
He played the guitar as well as sang on the show.
He put unique spins on songs by Nirvana, Radiohead, Pink Floyd and the Killers.
His original song ‘Trees’ was extremely well received by the ‘Rock Star’ judges and fans.
He won a prize for songwriting.
His band has opened for Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd, Cake and Interpol.
The band is a local favorite in Chicago.
After eliminating him from ‘Rock Star,’ INXS invited him to open for them on their world tour.
