Indianapolis (1991),’ ‘A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion (1993),’ ‘A Walton Wedding (1995),’ ‘Wonder Boys (2000)’ and ‘Beyond the Prairie: The True Story of Laura Ingalls Wilder (2000-2002)’

Why he might be annoying:

He has a hideous mole on his left cheek.
He has mainly acted in crappy made-for-TV movies and specials.
He is typecast in boring, squeaky-clean ‘family’ entertainment.
In college, he changed his major because he was irritated by antiwar protestors outside his school building.
He hosted a show about ‘miracles’ for PAX, and he actually seems to believe they are real.
He says he’s proud that his role on ‘The Waltons’ broke ground for more ‘sensitive’ male characters (i.e., sissies) in movies and TV.
His ‘Waltons’ character inspired that obnoxious seventies catch phrase ‘Good night, John-Boy.’

Why he might not be annoying:

He uses hearing aids.
He raised a lot of money to help the deaf and hard of hearing.
He speaks Chinese.
He published three volumes of poetry.
He had the lead role in the TV miniseries of Stephen King’s ‘It.’
