His whiny, nasal voice made him sound like an old woman.
A champion swimmer as a youth, he grew quite stocky as time went on.
He appeared in many westerns just as the genre was dying out.
He made a career of playing characters you loved to hate.
He didn't get married until he was nearly 50.
