    His tenure with the Stars lasted only 20 games, before he got traded.
    He was a shell of himself when he came back from an injury, which prompted his release from the Canadiens.

    His feisty gritty style of play made him a fan favorite in Buffalo.
    He wasn't afraid to make a big play or a big hit, despite his small stature.
    He was reacquired by the Sabres two years after he left the team on bad terms due to a contract dispute.
    He suffered a near-fatal injury after his forearm was lacerated by a skate during a game (December 2001).
    He severed the tendons in his forearm, which required four hours of surgery to save his life.
    He made a comeback from the surgery prior to the start of the 2002 Stanley Cup playoffs.
