Why he might be annoying:

    His nickname is 'Bruno.'
    He sported a pencil moustache during his playing career.
    Despite working his way through the Angels farm system, the team deemed him expendable after one season.
    He was traded by the Twins months after he put on a lackluster performance in the World Series.
    His playing career ended abruptly as a result of the 1994 players strike, as he opted not to return after it was settled a year later.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a mainstay in the Twins outfield, upon being acquired by the team.
    He was the first player in the history of the Senators/Twins franchise to record an inside-the-park home run (1982).
    He earned a World Series ring as a member of the Twins (1987).
    He made a diving catch, which helped the Red Sox secure the AL East title and a berth in the 1990 ALCS.
    He served as a hitting coach in both the high school and college ranks, prior to landing the same position with the Twins.
