The Resume

    (September 4, 1974- )
    Born in Gladstone, Oregon
Birth name is Taya Renae Studebaker
Widow of US Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who was shot dead at a Texas shooting range (Feb. 2013)
Consultant for Clint Eastwood's film about her late husband, 'American Sniper' (2014)
Founder of Chris Kyle Frog Foundation (2015)
Author of 'American Wife: A Memoir of Love, Service, Faith, and Renewal' (2015)

Why she might be annoying:

She wore her husband's dog tags on the Red Carpet at the 2015 Oscars.
She has been criticized, in some quarters, for focusing too much on her late husband in speeches, and not enough about military families or issues.
She expressed her intention to stand next to Rick Perry during his 2016 campaign announcement, effectively endorsing him.
She was at the center of Jesse Ventura's defamation lawsuit against her husband (Kyle repeatedly claimed to have punched Ventura at a Navy SEAL wake after he allegedly said 'the SEALS deserved to lose a few guys).
The court found that the Kyle estate was unjustly enriched and awarded Ventura $1.8 million in damages, but she appealed the verdict anyway (Jul. - Dec. 2014).

Why she might not be annoying:

She is active with the Patriot Tour.
She remains close friends with Marcus Luttrell.
Her father is Mayor of Lake Oswego, Oregon.
She was portrayed by Sienna Miller.
But, truth be told, she's way hotter than her 'American Sniper' counterpart.
She maintained her dignity during the heated culture clash over 'American Sniper' and the attacks on her late husband.
She refused to consider dating after the death of her husband, stating that she felt married to him and that 'it would be a betrayal.'
She became the first woman to receive the NASCAR Charlotte Motor Speedway's annual Stonewall Jackson Award at the Coca-Cola 600 (May 2015).
Many deemed it to be in poor taste for Jesse Ventura not to drop his lawsuit against her husband after his death and to move on to suing his widow (inspiring a series of internet 'I sue widows' memes aimed at Ventura).
When asked to respond to Universities attempting to ban 'American Sniper' screenings, she said 'I feel like freedom of speech is one of the great things in this country... In that way I think it’s disappointing that an institution that’s supposed to educate would not be interested in showing the reality... in the world we live in today.'
