Why Head of the Class might be annoying:

    Two words: Robin Givens
    The show lasted five years, but high school lasts no more than four years, especially if you are an honors student.
    Mr. Moore 'graduated' before the students.
    It was an 1980s version of 'Welcome Back Kotter,' but it had honors students instead.

Why Head of the Class might not be annoying:

    The original opening sequence show great shots of Mr. Moore running through the streets of New York.
    They did productions of 'Little Shop of Horrors' and 'Hair.'
    The honors students were of all types: rebel punks, artists, nerds, preppies, snobs and pranksters.
    It showed that not all honors students are necessarily nerdy.
    The students ended up going to top-notch colleges.
