Why he might be annoying:

He put poison into his own children's Pixie Stix candy on Halloween night.
After his son died, he pretended the candy had come from a neighbor or stranger.
In reality, he had taken out new insurance policies on both his children's lives shortly before the murder.
He had also been seen buying potassium cyanide at a local hardware store.
He gave poisoned candy to several other neighborhood kids as well, to make his son's murder look random.
He never admitted to his crime.
The murder caused a national paranoia about taking candy from strangers (even though Timothy was murdered by his father, not a stranger).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was executed by the State of Texas (March 31, 1984).
Due to his incompetent stapling of the Pixie Stix tubes, none of the other children ate the poison.
He donated his eyes for transplant.
