    Best known for appearing on Broadway in a series of plays by J.M. Barrie: 'The Little Minister' (1897), 'Quality Street' (1901), 'Peter Pan' (1905, 1906, 1912, 1915) 'What Every Woman Knows' (1908), and 'A Kiss for Cinderella' (1916)
    Head of the drama department at Stephens College (1937-49)

    She was a child star in theaters in the western US.
    The only film of her is a screen test she made for David O. Selznick (1938).
    Ethel Barrymore called her 'the original 'I want to be left alone' woman.'

    She co-designed her costume for 'Peter Pan.'
    She sometimes supplemented the salaries of the other cast members from her own pay.
