Why Mork and Mindy might be annoying:

Mork evolved from a chicken and was hatched.
The show was more of a showcase for Robin Williams' improve skills than scripted comedy.
Mork's overbearing presence made the rest of the cast appear useless.
In its second season, ABC decide to tamper with its success. It dropped some main characters, turned the series from silly fun into something a bit more meaningful and moving it from Thursday to Sunday evenings. This tampering cost it half of its audience.
It gave us the catch phrase 'Na nu Na Nu.'
    It gave us Robin Williams.
Despited having a huge audience in its first season, it continually went down a huge ratings hole.

Why Mork and Mindy might not be annoying:

Its first year audience had a wide range of demographics in both gender and age.
The character Mork originally appeared on 'Happy Days' and was spun off into its own show.
Brother and sister Remo and Jean DaVinci, came from the Bronx, the hometown of producer Garry Marshall.
Raquel Welch guest starred in an episode.
Garry Marshall claims he created the show concept in just a few minutes.
