He feuded with Bill Belichick concerning taking coaching staff members to the Jets.
He has nicknames like 'Manginius,' 'Mangenie' and 'ManGreenie.'
He lost the AFC Wild-Card playoff game to New England in his first year as head coach.
He tried to convince Deion Branch into joining the Jets while he was still under contract with the Patriots.
That incident led to the Patriots filing tampering charges.
He was originally criticized by the New York media for being too young for the coaching job.
He uses unorthodox methods to motivate his players.
He looks like Danny Maciocia.

His brother-in-law is Cleveland Indians general manager, Mark Shapiro.
In Cleveland, Bill Belichick was impressed with his dedication so much, he offered him a position on his coaching staff.
