Why he might be annoying:

He dropped out of college to become a protester.
In the 70s he indulged in just about every Me Decade trend, including yoga, rolfing, meditation and est.
In the 80s, he went from Yippie to Yuppie, earning $600,000 a year organizing networking seminars.
Asked what he did for a living, he would say, 'I'm famous. That's my job.'
He said, 'I fell in love with Charlie Manson the first time I saw his cherubic face and sparkling eyes on TV.'
He died after being hit by a car while jaywalking.

Why he might not be annoying:

His parents died within 10 months of each other (1960-61), leaving him to take care of his 13-year-old brother.
Called on to testify in front of the House Unamerican Activities Committee, he appeared on successive days as a shirtless guerrilla armed with a plastic rifle, as Santa Claus and as a Revolutionary War soldier (1966).
He appeared on the second episode of 'Saturday Night Live.'
He was an early investor in Apple Computer.
