    His mother nicknamed him 'Misha' after one of her old boyfriends ('much to my father's chagrin').
    He carved the word 'Why' into his left leg when he was thirteen and still has the scar from it.
    One of his early acting gigs was hosting a series of IRS instructional videos.
    He read the Book of Revelation as preparation for his role as Castiel.
    He refers to his Twitter followers as 'minions.'

    He recalled that growing up, 'Sometimes our family simply didn't have the money to put a roof over our heads, and from time to time we found ourselves homeless and sleeping in a tent.'
