He and Catelynn briefly feuded with the adoptive parents of their first child (Carly).
His father and Catelynn's mother had divorced two years before they themselves married (awkward).
He was accused of body-shaming Catelynn in front of cameras (he later apologized on Twitter).
He has feuded with Farrah Abraham on and off over the years (which - given Farah's proclivities - others might just call being normal).

He first met Catelynn when they were twelve.

He stood by Catelynn during her various bouts with postpartum depression and drug abuse.
He helped Catelynn through her second and third pregnancies, helping her keep her diabetes under control and avoid substance abuse.
He has stated that he wants to become a social worker, with the aim of working with at-risk youth.
When fans asked him what he thought about Farrah Abraham tweeting that he was a closeted gay, he responded: 'In order for her to really insult me, I would first need to value her opinion. And the lion does not dwell on the opinions of sheep.'
He's a complete anomaly among 'baby daddies' of the Teen Mom franchise: faithful, supportive, a good parent, down-to-earth and no run-ins with the law (no, it can't be done!).
