U.S. Congressman

The Resume

    (November 7, 1975- )
    Born in Houston, Texas
    Middle name is Joe
    Brother to Marcus Luttrell
    Former United States Navy SEAL
Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas's 8th district (assumed office January 3, 2023)

Why he might be annoying:

He and his brother both supported family friend Rick Perry's second doomed Presidential bid, flanking him on both sides during his official announcement.
His Congressional race to fill Congressman Kevin Brady’s House seat doubled as a proxy war between the establishment and anti-establishment wings of the Republican Party.
For proper perspective his House run was backed by Kevin McCarthy and Dan Crenshaw, while his opponent Christian Collins was backed by Marjorie Taylor Greene and Madison Cawthorn (Donald Trump declined to get involved or even endorse anyone at all).
After fending off Collins in the primary, he faced practically no opposition in the general election, and easily won.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was commissioned as a special warfare officer.
He sustained a severe traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury he sustained in a helicopter crash in 2009.
He was medically discharged in 2014 for the injury (he had served as a SEAL for 14 years to that point).
He has founded two small businesses specializing in energy and recycling local to his hometown Magnolia, Texas.
He was a senior advisor to Rick Perry when he served as Secretary to the United States Department of Energy during the Trump administration.
After his House seat win, he became one of three twins from Texas in the 118th United States Congress (the other two being Joaquin Castro and Troy Nehls).
