    Drafted fourth overall by the New York Knicks in the 1978 NBA Draft
    Played for the New York Knicks (1978-82), Golden State Warriors (1982-83) and the New Jersey Nets (1983-86)
    Played on various clubs abroad between 1986 and 2002
    Head coach of the Albany Patroons (2004-07), Oklahoma/Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry (2007-11) and the London Lightning (2011-14)

Why he might be annoying:

    His nickname was 'Sugar.'
    His NBA career flamed out after eight seasons.
    He was once dubbed 'The next Walt Frazier' by the Knicks scouts upon being drafted.
    He was banned from the NBA after he violated the league's drug policy three times.
    He openly complained about his suspension, citing he got a harsher punishment in comparison to Chris Mullin.
    He played for 11 teams in four leagues across two continents after his suspension.
    He was suspended by the Continental Basketball Association prior to the league's championship series as he made inflammatory remarks in regards to Jewish people (2007).
    To add more fuel to the fire, he taunted a heckler using anti-gay slurs and profanities in the same series.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He left the University of Montana among the top three players in both scoring and assists.
    He was the third player in NBA history to lead the league in both assists and steals.
    He was the last player in NBA history to wear the leather Converse All-Star brand of shoes on the court.
    He was a member of four championship teams while playing in Europe.
    He had the support of many in the basketball community, who knew he wasn't anti-semitic when word of his inflammatory remarks were made public.
    As a coach, he guided his teams to four championships across two leagues.
