Why he might be annoying:

He initially began acting to impress a girl in a local theater group.
    He has been divorced twice.
He said, 'I feel I know Jenny [Agutter] as a best friend. That's what happens when you spend a long time naked together.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He received the London Theatre Critics Award for Most Promising Actor (1973).
Based on his nude scenes in 'Equus,' 'Peter' was a particularly appropriate first name, if you know what we mean.
He said about his relatively low-key career, 'There's a price to be paid for being recognised all the time, so I'm quite happy not to be.'
