Why they might be annoying:

They are a New York team that plays in New Jersey.
After they won the 1956 NFL title, they went through a span of losing five NFL title games in seven years.
They went 18 years without a playoff appearance after their loss in the 1963 NFL title game.
They had to play at the Yale Bowl for a couple of years in the 1970's since their old home, Yankee Stadium was being renovated and Giants Stadium wasn't completed.
They have had their share of heartbreaking losses over the years.
The most significant one is known as the 'Miracle at the Meadowlands,' where the Philadelphia Eagles beat them after they fumbled the ball due to bad play calling. They had an opportunity to run out the clock.
In the last game of the 1995 season, fans decided to throw snowballs on the field to show their discomfort with that year's team.

Why they might not be annoying:

They participated in what is known as the 'Greatest Game Ever Played.' It was an intense NFL Championship Game that went to sudden death overtime, helping the NFL become the most popular sports league in America (1958).
    They invented the Gatorade shower.
They were originally created to help make professional football popular in major markets.
They have been at least partially owned since their inception by some member (or members) of the Mara family.
They won the 1934 NFL Championship Game when, trailing at halftime against a then-undefeated Chicago Bears, scored 27 unanswered points after changing their footwear to basketball sneakers so they could have better traction on the frozen surface of the Polo Grounds.
With their Super Bowl XXI victory, game MVP Phil Simms became the first person to say that he's 'Going to Disney World.'
