Why he might be annoying:

    He spent the first half of his career on a poor Pirates team.
    He missed the entire 1995 season as a result of injuries.
    He played on five teams in a three year span after leaving the Diamondbacks.
    He initially signed with the Boston Red Sox, prior to the start of the 2004 season but was traded during Spring Training, thus never playing a game for the team.
    He elected to retire prior to the start of the 2007 season, after he was unable to crack a Washington Nationals team that was thin on talent.

Why he might not be annoying:

    His speed was considered one of his greatest assets early in his career.
    He was considered one of the few bright spots on a poor Pirates team during the late 1990’s.
    He established himself as one of baseball’s clutch hitters during his tenure with the Diamondbacks.
    He set up the tying runs, that led to Luis Gonzalez‘s game-winning single in Game 7 of the 2001 World Series.
    He left the Diamondbacks as the franchise’s all-time leader in stolen bases.
