Forward for the New York Rangers (1952-64), Toronto Maple Leafs (1964-65), Detroit Red Wings (1965-67), Pittsburgh Penguins (1967-68, 1970) and the Vancouver Canucks (WHL) (1968-70)
Hart Trophy Winner (1959)
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame (1978)

Why he might be annoying:

He spent his prime years on mediocre Rangers teams.
Despite his franchise player status with the team, they have yet to retire his number.
His slapshot almost shattered the face of Jacques Plante, a move which prompted Plante to introduce the goalie mask.
He spent three years out of hockey before making an eleven game comeback with the WHA's Vancouver Blazers (1975).
He did advertisements for the Hudson Bay Company's men's clothing line during the 1990's.

Why he might not be annoying:

He had a powerful slapshot in his prime years.
He recorded a 40 goal season in an era where 40-50 goals a season were considered rare.
He was a member of the Leafs team that won their third consecutive Stanley Cup title (1964).
He was a member of the inaugural Pittsburgh Penguins roster.
Despite having a wonky knee, he still was able to perform at a high level.
