Why she might be annoying:

She has been married three times, divorced twice.
She said the biggest regret of her political career was voting in 2005 to cut retirement benefits for teachers, which she blamed on 'unreliable information from state actuaries.'
Because of Alaska's ranked voting system, confirmation of her victories came well after the election dates.
She benefited from running against two Republicans, Sarah Palin and Nick Begich III, who split the vote and spent most of their campaigns attacking each other.

Why she might not be annoying:

She won the Miss National Congress of American Indians pageant, performing two Yup'ik dances for the talent competition (1995).
Alaska Public Radio said her 'superpower' was being nice.
After a debate in which Palin accidentally answered a question meant for Peltola and Peltola signaled to the moderator to let Palin finish, Palin gushed, 'See how polite she is? This is the way it should be in politics.'
She was the first Alaskan native elected to Congress.
She got her first bill passed by the House -- to create a Food Security Office within the Department of Veterans Affairs -- less than a month after being sworn in.
