Vocalist

The Resume

    (May 4, 1953- )
    Born in Seattle, Washington
Featured on the Tears for Fears single 'Woman in Chains' (1989)
Recorded the single 'Get Here' (1990)
Recorded the albums 'Circle of One' (1990), 'Evolution' (1993), 'Moving On' (1995) and 'Come Walk With Me' (1997)

Why she might be annoying:

She turned down a college scholarship to pursue a singing career.
After spending $5,000 on demo tapes, she found that her jazzy vocals were out of style during the disco era.
She is a one-hit wonder on the American pop charts.
She said she had no plans to get married until she and her boyfriend got caught in the Northridge earthquake (January 17, 1994), which she took as a sign from God. (I would have thought God could come up with a way of saying 'Hey, get married already' without inconveniencing the entire LA metro area.)

Why she might not be annoying:

She was discovered by Tears for Fears while performing as a lounge singer in a Kansas City hotel.
She said, 'You should go on and mind your business and be the same person you were at the time they found you. You should still be a regular person. That's why I still live in Kansas City.'
She and her husband both teach Sunday school.
Her single 'Get Here' was an unofficial anthem for military families during the Gulf War.
