Why they might be annoying:

    They were one-hit wonders.
They turned down a chance to record 'Daydream Believer,' which became a chart topper for the Monkees.
    They recorded commercials for Coca-Cola.
Bivens left after their second album (1967), leading to a revolving door of group members plus a series of breakups and reunions.
The most recent version of the group bills itself as the We Five Folk Rock Revival.

Why they might not be annoying:

'The Independent' described them as 'bridging the gap' between Peter, Paul and Mary and the Mamas and the Papas.
'You Were On My Mind' went Top Five on the Billboard singles chart, hit #1 on the easy listening chart, and earned a gold record for sales of over a million singles.
Michael Stewart was the brother of John Stewart of the Kingston Trio.
After leaving the group, Michael Stewart produced Billy Joel's breakthrough album 'Piano Man.'
