Why they might be annoying:

    They were a one-hit wonder.
Their one hit song, 'Worst That Could Happen,' was actually a cover of a popular Jimmy Webb song.
'Worst That Could Happen' turned up on a list of songs deemed inappropriate by Clear Channel following the September 11, 2001 attacks (but not the 5th Dimension version, despite their note-for-note similarity.).
They were a doo-wop a cappella group formed after the genre went out of style.

Why they might not be annoying:

Maestro was the former lead singer of the Crests (best known for '16 Candles'), while Cauchi and Ferrara had been members of the Del-Satins, who replaced the Belmonts as Dion's backing vocalists.
They performed on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Della Reese Show.
They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame (2005).
'Worst That Could Happen' reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a gold record.
Johnny Maestro was honored by the House of Representatives and Congressman Jeremy Nadler in recognition of his music career and contribution to his local district (May 9, 2012).
