Why he might be annoying:

He had two middle names (James and Gilbert).
George Lucas did not publicize his on-screen appearances during the light-saber duels in 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'Return of the Jedi' to avoid detracting from David Prowse's performance.
He had to wear lifts while filming those scenes since he is six inches shorter than Prowse.

Why he might not be annoying:

He served in the Royal Marines during World War II and survived the sinking of HMS Coventry in the Mediterranean.
Mark Hamill revealed his contributions in a 1983 interview: 'I finally told George I didn't think it was fair anymore. Bob worked so bloody hard that he deserves some recognition.'
For the 'Lord of the Rings' films, he developed different sword fighting techniques for each of the cultures based on Tolkien's descriptions.
