Why he might be annoying:

He was a vegetarian.
He was typecast in horror films as the 'generic' mad scientist.
The boots he was given with his Grand Moff Tarkin uniform in Star Wars were too small and hurt his feet. He asked George Lucas if he could wear fuzzy slippers instead, Lucas agreed and filmed him from the waist in nearly all of his scenes.
He turned down Donald Pleasence's role of Dr. Loomis in 'Halloween,' the role revitalized Pleasence's career.
Throughout his entire career, he looked like an old man.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was said to be a great actor to work with.
His most well known roles are Dr. Who, Sherlock Holmes, and Grand Moff Tarkin.
He did Shakespearean roles and acted on Broadway.
After his wife Helen died in 1971, people who were very close to him said that he never fully recovered from her death.
He was born one day earlier than Vincent Price and Christopher Lee, all three co-starred in countless low-budget horror films.
