    He recorded a career high of 6 errors as a catcher in the 1986 season.
    He was used as a backup during his final disappointing years of his playing career in Cleveland.
    He had a losing 35-41 record in his first time as an interim manager.
    Following the 2002 season, he was beaten by Eric Wedge for the Indians' full time managerial position.
    He cost the Indians an ALCS Game 7 victory as he held Kenny Lofton from scoring from third base, which resulted in the Boston Red Sox turning a double play (October 21, 2007).
