    (January 17, 1899-January 25, 1947)
    Nickname was 'Scarface'
Bootlegger (transported and sold alcohol during prohibition)
    Racketeer and murderer
Masterminded the St. Valentine Day's Massacre
The Godfather movies, The Untouchables and Scarface are based on his life
He was indicted on 5,000 counts of prohibition and perjury, but found guilty of Tax Evasion (1931).
He was sentenced to eleven years in jail (1931).
At 14 years old, his teacher hit him and he hit her back and was expelled (never to return to school - 1913).
He insulted a woman by telling her she had 'a nice ass' in front of her brother, Frank Gullico.
Gullico pulled a knife and slashed Capone's face three times (hence the nickname - scarface).
At 19 years old, he had a son out of wedlock, who he gave congenital syphilis.
He did marry the baby's mother after the birth (1918).
He moved to Chicago to start a crime syndicate (1921).
He moved much of his crime syndicate to Cicero, just outside of Chicago, where he bought off the entire government and police force.
In his efforts to take the town of Cicero by kidnapping officials, the Chicago police got involved and in a shoot out, killed his brother Frank (1924).
Al threw Frank the largest funeral ever, spending $20,000 on flowers alone.
When he got married, he decided to have a respectful life and turned from crime.
He was a bookkeeper and lived a crime free life until his father died (1920).
Despite having strong Italian mob ties, his wife, Mae, was Irish and his closest, most trusted friend was an orthodox Jew, Jack Guzik.
He believed that his family life should be respectful and have no contact with his criminal life.
Despite having many mistresses and being a cold blooded killer, his wife Mae stuck by him until his death.
