Why he might be annoying:

His drug and alcohol abuse led to him getting fired from The Allman Brothers Band(2000).
He filed a lawsuit against the band after getting fired.
He missed several of the band's concert dates in the late 90's.
Although he's a great guitarist, he is often overshadowed by Duane Allman.
He put a gun to his wife's head during an argument.
He co-wrote a couple of his songs with Don Johnson.

Why he might not be annoying:

He wrote and sang lead on some of The Allman Brother's biggest hits.
After Duane Allman died and Gregg Allman became a drug addict, he became the band's leader.
Rolling Stone magazine ranked him as the 58th greatest guitarist of all time.
He got over his drug problem and tours with his band 'Great Southern.'
He was the most humble member of The Allman Brothers Band.
