Why she might be annoying:

She came from a noble (but impoverished) family.
While teaching reading and writing to factory workers, she also conducted illegal classes in revolutionary politics.
She married Lenin so they could be together when they were both exiled to Siberia.
As Deputy Minister of Education, her duties included banning ‘counter-revolutionary’ books from libraries.
A family friend noted that she ‘was not much of a cook.’

Why she might not be annoying:

She served as Lenin’s personal secretary and as editorial secretary for the Bolshevik paper ‘Iskra’ (‘The Spark’).
Her pamphlet ‘The Woman Worker’ has been cited as the first significant feminist text in Marxism.
She had to put up with Stalin’s long-term affair with Inessa Armand.
She tried (albeit with little success) to save her old comrades from being executed during the Stalinist purges.
