Why he might be annoying:

    He racked up 16 speeding tickets in Florida (1999-2014).
    He was arrested for DUI after being pulled over for speeding and refusing to take a breathalyzer test (2008).
    Despite claiming to be worth only $388,000 on his financial disclosure forms, he was able to donate $200,000 of his own money to his Congressional campaign (2016).
    He falsely blamed Obamacare for causing the opioid crisis.
    He falsely claimed George Soros financed a caravan of migrants from Central America to the US.
    He claimed the ‘deep state’ was behind former Ohio State wrestlers coming forward to claim that Rep. Jim Jordan knew about sexual abuse at the school when Jordan was a coach and did nothing.
    He invited Chuck Johnson, a Holocaust denier and fundraiser for the neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer, to be his guest at the State of the Union address (2018).
    He was accused of attempted witness tampering after sending a tweet to former Trump attorney Michael Cohen threatening to reveal information about Cohen’s alleged mistresses hours before Cohen testified before the House Oversight Committee (February 26, 2019).

Why he might not be annoying:

    As a state representative, he cosponsored a bill to repeal Florida’s ban on adoptions by same-sex couples (2015).
    He was the only Republican among the 55 cosponsors of a bill to remove cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act (2019).
    He said the federal government had lied about the medical benefits of marijuana ‘for a generation.’
    He tweeted an apology to Cohen and insisted he had not intended to threaten him.
