    He was personally recruited to Diamond Rio by his longtime friend and bandmate Jimmy Olander.
    He is the nephew of bluegrass musicians Bobby & Sonny Osborne, of the duo Osborne Brothers.

    He served as a bass player in Jimmy C. Newman's band, prior to joining Diamond Rio.
